Kevin Feige Confirms Solo Black Widow Movie Release Date In Phase 4

So how do you pose a threat to a demigod, a supersoldier, a man in an indestructible metal suit and a hulking green juggernaut? Only Thanos and The Hulk have unleashed the power of the Infinity Stones without dying and considering the fact Steve Rogers was able to both wield Mjolnir and hold the Mad Titan at bay in Avengers: Infinity War, there's a belief that he may have been strong enough to don the Infinity Gauntlet.

During the time heist in Avengers: Endgame, Black Widow and Hawkeye are the ones tasked with going to Vormir in 2014 to retrieve the Soul Stone. The character, portrayed in film by Scarlett Johansson, has been part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) since 2010's Iron Man 2, and fans have been asking for a solo film focussing on the hero ever Endgame since.

Captain Marvel has opened the doors, and the big screen, for female characters in title roles in new Marvel movies. That film also has a pretty open lane ahead of it post-Endgame, assuming it isn't another prequel, focusing on the character's adventures between her first solo outing and her Endgame appearance.

In killing Natasha, the Russo Brothers forced Black Widow into this unenviable archetype and destined her to a fate worse than death: being infinitely sidelined for Clint. It is set to modernize the story and character arc. While Iron Man and Captain America's deaths have conspired for the longest time, no one could imagine saying goodbye to Black Widow.

Whilst Widow holds one of the most important roles during this period by being in charge of the Avengers alongside Captain America (Chris Evans), some fans aren't thrilled this could be the concept of her solo movie. The bogus story was written simply because the Black Widow character has blonde hair in the third and fourth installments of the franchise, unlike in the previous movies.
